Infusing water with mineral rich watermelon creates an essential electrolyte balancer. Watermelon is naturally high in potassium and magnesium which helps your body to maintain a healthy fluid balance. Reach for this recipe after a long day in the sun. 

Watermelon Hydrator

Hydrates and provides a magnesium boost 

Makes 4 cups | Takes 5 minutes | Lasts 2 days in the refrigerator 


  • 2 cups cubed watermelon
  • juice and rind of 1/2 lime
  • 20 basil leaves 
  • Himalayan salt to taste
  • 4 cups water

1. In a quart-size jar, layer all the ingredients starting with the watermelon, then fill the jar with water. 

2. Seal the jar and let sit in the refrigerator anywhere from 3 hours to 24 hours before serving.

3. When ready to serve, pour the liquid into a glass, leaving the solid ingredients in the jar.
